Residential Lock Installation & Repair Services

Door locks may be small, but they are first in line as the safety and security of your home and business.

For this reason, it is essential to get it repaired soon as a problem arises.

Over time, you may encounter difficulty with door locks due to normal wear and tear. Keep an eye out for signs that a problem may occur.

Here are the Most Common Door Lock Problems:

 Sticky Locks

If you need to jiggle your keys a few times before they catch the lock, you should consider repair or replacement before the lock completely gives way.

 Frozen Locks

This occurs when moisture gets into a lock and the temperatures drop. Be careful trying to fix this yourself. Don’t ever force the key into a frozen lock or you will likely find yourself with a broken key.

Misalignment

If you find that your door lock won’t latch into position, a professional adjustment may be necessary. For the best maintenance, we recommend that you have an annual lock checkup.

 Key Broke in Lock

Snapping a key in a lock is never good and can be a real problem. This is a relatively common problem. To avoid this, be careful when locking and unlocking your door.

Door Won’t Close Properly

If your door doesn’t shut all the way or won’t latch properly, this can make locking the door difficult. The bolt needs to align correctly with the strike plate, and the door itself has to fit properly within the frame for the lock to work right.

The Lock is Broken

The mechanics of the lock itself may be the problem. If this is the issue, it’s best to hire a professional to help you replace the lock.

 The Key has Trouble Inserting

This can be caused by using the wrong key. So check it is the right one before calling for help to unlock your door. It also could be that the lock is dirty and needs to be cleaned.

Indoor Air Quality Services

Indoor air quality is a global issue. Both short and long term exposure to indoor air pollution can cause a range of health issues, including respiratory diseases, heart disease, cognitive deficits, and cancer.

The most effective ways to improve your indoor air quality are to reduce or remove the sources of pollutants and to ventilate with clean outdoor air. In addition, research shows that filtration can be an effective supplement to source control and ventilation. Using a portable air cleaner and/or upgrading the air filtration system in your furnace or central heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system can help to improve indoor air quality.

Flat Rate Pricing

 What is Flat Rate Pricing?

Flat rate pricing involves charging a single, fixed rate for a particular service. This fee does not fluctuate regardless of the time or effort it takes to complete. Flat rate pricing is appealing to both businesses and prospects because of its no-nonsense approach.

Here are the reasons why it makes good sense for customers to hire service companies that charge flat rate for repairs.

  • First, it keeps the customer informed and addresses the two important questions customers always ask – “what’s wrong and how much?”
  • Second, flat rate allows the customer to make informed decisions in advance of repair about repair versus replacement of their equipment.
  • Third, it allows customers to relax about repair fees. Flat rate pricing is not an open-ended arrangement. More time on the job will not cost more money.
  • Fourth, there are no surprises after the work is performed. The repair that has been recommended and approved is the work that is completed.
  • Fifth, the customer never pays for education of apprentice technicians. If a tech takes longer because of his lack of skill, the customer doesn’t incur that expense. That places the burden of educating and training technicians on the service company, right where that expense should be placed. Certainly we all agree, it’s the service company’s responsibility to send competent technicians out into the field.

When a customer finds a service company that does all that is described above, most often that company will be charging for service and repair on a flat rate pricing method.  Upfront, fair and professional service. That’s what customers are seeking and that’s what flat rate pricing brings to the customer. That should make and keep every customer satisfied.
